System font

Good morning,

Today after a reboot all my system fonts used in application menus and within 
applications disappeared.  All went to somewhat strange DejaVu Sans Mono. 

In system setting all is like it should be with Ubuntu font chosen. I did few 
changes with no effect. Even within application once the font is changed, it 
still stays rather small and with ugly looking.  

Any ideas? 

Kubuntu 14.04 with all updates.
