Yes, I see the same problem here, *however*, even though I'm not 100% 
aware of the current fad-du-jour (so what I'm saying could be wrong), I 
think that now permission to the sound (and other) devices is not 
granted by group membership but by consolekit (or policykit or 
whateverkit or maybe even systemd) when a user logged in locally.
Maybe the whateverkit/systemd is too slow to grant permission to the 
sound device? Or kde doesn't communicate with it properly each and every 
time?
