doing a search via a search engine, maybe the issue its already solved....
Maybe you dont know what to search for ? Okay, than ask if you find nothing on 
search engine.
 Also known as "Netiquette". There some hints on the web...

You shoud do a search for "add new / second hd ubuntu"

some keywords:
fdisk, fstab, mount

Are you able to find your hard disk via fdisk?
Doing an entry in your fstab 
mount it
