Fwd: Urgently help needed to get restarted with Kontact @ Kubuntu 14.04/ KDE 4.13.3.

Hello Everybody.
Kontact worked quite well till a few hours ago; at that moment, a big
update seemed to mess everything up. As usual, I restarted the system
after such an update. After that restart, I tried to restart Kontact:
both via Kontact itself and via SYSTEM SETTINGS > personal
information. However, nothing works any more. All I get, is the an
error report starting with the phrase "The Akonadi personal
information system is not running.....". The detailed error report,
you can find below.
My trouble shooting routine does not help neither. Several restarts
did not help. I also have renamed a few times /home/.kde via mc in the
terminal - midnight commander. After each renaming action, I quickly
rebooted the system, with a view to getting a fresh version of .kde.
This method worked often; no result now.
I have also copied a few times backup versions of some essential files
and folders into fresh version of /home/.kde. From .kde/share/apps, I
have copied a few times /akregator and /emailidenties. From
.kde/share/config, I have copied a few times some files:
emaildefaults, emailidentities, kmail2rc, kmailrc. Such methods have
been effective until recently; but not now. One time, I copied the
whole .kde/share/config folder into the new version of .kde: no result
neither.
Is there any option left for getting restarted with Kontact?!
One issue I really urgently need help for, is to get the local draft
mail folder back; one draft mail I have been intensely working on the
past few days, is only there. Is or are there any files in
/.kde/share/config that can help me to get it back? I have a back-up
of the .kde configuration of this afternoon.
Also if I need to reinstall a whole 14.04 system, i absolutely want to
migrate those local draft mails.
To other things I want to migrate or get back, are:
Akregator feeds;
Email identities.
Thanks!
Yours.
Bas G. Roufs.
