At my laptop, I have 3 USB ports. Three more USB ports are available via
the docking station. The laptop I am using now, is a Lenovo Thnkpad X230,
16 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD.

Aditionally, I have another laptop with Kubuntu 24.04 LTS with the same
specs - a HP EliteBook 2740p Notebook. So, I can use other USB ports and
even a completely different laptop with the same OS version.
