The killswitch is *supposed* to work in Colony 3 as it did in my
experience with a Tecra M2 and an old Satellite. What could confuse
the user though is that if the killswitch is turned off during setup,
it would insist that it be turned on. You won't be able to associate
with an AP if it has WEP because of an authentication issue (#14007),
dmesg would say that it doesn't want the killswitch at all (doing the
workaround in the bug thread fixes it.)

Run Breezy Colony 3 and see if you encounter problems. We are focusing
on the development release. Daily snapshots will also do.
