Acer TravelMate 2403

Hello!

  My name is olaf and I am new laptop and ubuntu user  ;]
  Farther back i was using Debian/Gnu for 3years.

  I was looking for direct linux faq for my laptop:

  but it seems to me that
  nobody wrote anything like that. So I will try to do it. With your help?
  

  I have got one problem to solve with switching the LCD and external VGA
  displays on and off under Ubuntu.

  I configured my graphic card Intel i915 with help from:
  http://bram.be/travelmate_4651lci.html  site.

  Then I was looking for lcd/crt switcher and I founded i810switcher in Ubuntu
  package. It works!! Everything should be fine but it is not :/

  Graphics at the external screen are smaller (does not fit) and constantly
  flickers.

Any suggestions? Does anyone can help me?
