Would a better approach to be to grep '/etc/fstab' for a keyword on the
appropriate swaps line:

  # <file system> <mount point>   <type>  <options>       <dump>  <pass>
  /dev/sda7       none            swap    sw,hibernate    0       0

Or is the root partition not read-only mountable by the time initramfs would
need it?
