Xorg Lockup at Boot

Greetings,

   The latest nightly build seems to have remedied the ACPI problems I 
was having with the Tecra A4, but now when Xorg attempts to start, I get 
a black background with randomly arranged black/gray/white blocks 
scattered around my screen and the X cursor in the center. The computer 
locks up completely and I'm unable to get any debugging info out of it. 
Examination of xorg.conf revealed nothing, it looked like everything was 
detected and setup perfectly.

   I'll try the ATI drivers tomorrow and see what happens. The standard 
'ati' driver is currently detected and used by default.
