Problems with V6J suspend

Hi there,

My Asus V6J was working like a breeze before, but lately pressing
suspend button has only generated errors. It shows a popup telling
that there was a problem with HAL and that I should check out the
gnome-power-manager FAQ.

echo mem > /sys/power/state suspends the machine but it's unable to
resume. Logs (dmesg and /var/log/messages) don't tell a thing what
might be wrong.

Has anyone encountered anything similiar? Is there any easy way to
reset all acpi/hal-setups in case there's something messy.
