gsynaptics is a graphical tool for touchpad configuration. Among other
things you can set its sensibility.

This small thing is intended to support touchpads better. Too bad it
is not installed for laptpops by default; alas, it needs to be moved
out of universe for that.
This package has a zillion of different settings, mostly controlled
from xorg.conf by hand-editing the file. Look at the documentation ...
