nm-applet problem

Hi all,
nm-applet reports a wired connection when i'm connected to a wireless
network with my Atheros Communications, Inc. AR5212 802.11abg NIC (rev
01). anyone else having this problem? i'm using a thinkpad T41, it was
working up until updates over the last few days.
