HP: wireless, touchpad and volume

Hi Duncan,
I have Gutsy Tribe-5 with all the updates up to 2009-09-26 and no
network-manager connection problem. I'll have to recheck about the
touchpad scrolling.

I do have volume issues that it can't be set. Have a look at the
following bug report.

I just want to hear from other HP laptop users if they're also seeing
trouble in Gutsy with:

* network-manager not connecting, unstable
* my synaptics touchpad has just lost it's scrolling edge
* i can't set volume in many situations. (eg keyboard has no effect)

I will file the relevant bugs as needed, but some issues are unclear so
I want to hear from others.
