Hi all,

My laptops (work and home) also have problems with suspend and hibernate.
The symptom is:

1. choose suspend
2. click button to get it out of suspend (in my case, the power button)
3. computer wakes up, but screen is black with flickering white stripes and
noise.
4. Escape to prompt buttons have no effect, unable to escape X. Must force
power off.

My home laptop is a Toshiba Satellite, running Gutsy Ubuntu.
Output of uname -a gives:
Linux svUbuntuX 2.6.22-14-generic #1 SMP Tue Feb 12 07:42:25 UTC 2008 i686
GNU/Linux
The graphics card is a GForce NVidia, and I am using the non-free drivers
from nvidia.
My work laptop is a dell (more information i cannot give at this time as i
am at home).
