Viewing Launchpad in IE

This is because hackergotchis and person icons are served over HTTP, 
when they should be served over HTTPS like the rest of the site.

images by selecting "Tools" > "Internet Options..." > "Security" > 
"Internet" > "Custom Level..." > "Miscellaneous" > "Display mixed 
content" > "Disable".

As for Internet Explorer compatibility in general, the best way people 
can help with that is to fix the bug that prevents me from testing
