question on duplicate bug handeling in upstream bug trackers

I reported this bug:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/kdepim/+bug/73480, which
deals w/ problems w/ the manual for akregator thinking it only related to
Ubuntu. I finally had a chance to install a Debian VM and it had the same
bug so I created a bug on bugs.kde.org,
http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=138222, which apparently was a duplicate
of this bug: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=95050. If I know look at
the bug on Launchpad it says the upstream has been rejected. Do I have to
link this bug on Launchpad to the new bug on bugs.kde.org? Shouldn't it
follow the fact there is a duplicate bug and update the status to the new
bug or do I just need to relink to upstream?
Thanks,
Jonathan
