Ubuntu Bugzilla to Malone (Launchpad) migration complete

When I first came to work on Ubuntu, I was very struck by how much
less useable and effective Bugzilla is than the Debian BTS[1]. Now I
am struck by how much less useable and effective Malone is compared to
Bugzilla.

This that need to be fixed ASAP, that I have noticed in my first half
hour:

* Launchpad should not require me to periodically log in again.

* All of the displays are hopelessly wasteful of real estate.
Furniture and navigation should be minimal and confined to the top
and bottom of of the window. The full with of the window should be
used for displaying data. This applies to the lists (eg, search
results) and to the bugs themselves.

* Bug text should be rendered in a fixed-width font.

* The inability to easily edit the bug URL to go to a different bug
is a significant useability reduction compared to Bugzilla and
Debian. (This is something one does very very often.)

* Rendering bugs (eg, in
  https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/firefox/+bug/27783
the URL overflows the area intended for the bug text).

* The phrases `Fix Requested In' and `Request fix' seem meaningless to
me. I'm scared to try out clicking on `Request fix' in case it does
something stupid. Presumably these could be translated into
  some more standard terminology ?

I haven't yet tried to modify a bug.

Ian.

[1] You may think I'm biased about the Debian BTS, of course - but
note that it has had a lot impressive improvements in in the years
after I stopped maintaining it so I'm not blowing my own trumpet all
that much.
