Yes, there was a note about it, but it seems it was only sent to the
developer list. An announcement should have been sent to this list, I'll
make sure it's sent the next time the email interface is down. I'm
afraid that what you suggested isn't a priority right now, even though
it definitely would be good to have something like that. Filed bug
29561, so that we won't forget about it.

BTW, your message caused an error in our GPG handling code while
verifying the signature. I'm not quite sure why yet, but I'll take a
close look at it tomorrow and will let you know what happened.
