Ubuntu on Medion Machine

I've just tried to run Ubuntu 6.06 on a Medion PC MT6, type MED MT177A,  with 
a MD41077EA flat-screen display. 
 
Shortly after booting, the message "No Support" appeared on the screen....  
and that was that!
 
A pity: this is the last machine I have which runs W/XP..... but it  seems 
that I shall have to persevere with it a little longer.
