We currently have seven statuses and that will soon become eight.  
Adding a ninth for something that can already be expressed in Malone  
("Unconfirmed" is a synonym for "Needs Triage", edge cases  
notwithstanding) would, IMHO, be feeping creaturism, and cause more  
confusion than relief.

If you can rally support for your idea though, and collect data to  
demonstrate that lots of other users and developers find this to be  
an issue and write that up in a spec, it could be worth coming back  
to this in the future.
