Feature specification and/on Ubuntuforums discussions

Prior to the next developer summit in Paris, many new feature specifications will be written and discussed: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuDeveloperSummitParis

On the feature specification wiki page (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/FeatureSpecifications ) Item number four states "Gather a community around your spec" It mentions #ubuntu-devel and the -devel mailing list.

While I don't think the majority of new feature specifications would benefit directly from being discussed on the forums, I think a few of them would. I think it would be interesting to be able to discuss those specs on a seperate forum section.

This would allow an easy access for some developers to get the perspective of the more user-oriented forum clientele and allow a lot of forum users to peer into the development process and learn about the development of Ubuntu.

I started a discussion about it on the forums discussion section:
  http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=184376

If Launchpad can provide an RSS feed for feature specifications, this sort of thing could work in the same was that the fridge discussions are held on the forums.

Perhaps when registering a new spec, the registrant can pick whether or not they would like to have the spec posted and discussed on the forums (in a specific section) or not. \n
\nWould this be possible?
