Problems with latest updates

Help!

I'm trying to alert someone to the problems I encountered when
I installed the latest updates to Ubuntu 6.10 on April 13, 2007.

Several modules in the Screensaver no longer display correctly,
and the Molecule module freezes my computer completely as
soon as it displays "Constructing molecule...". The only method
of escape that works is holding the power key until the computer
shuts down. I encountered these problems on a PC, running
Ubuntu 6.10, with the Gnome interface. The processor is Intel,
1.0 GHz. RAM is 512 MB. I'm new to Linux, so I don't know how
or where to report these problems. I hope someone can help.
