Karma points disapear

The same happened to everyone - clearly a bit better communication would
probably have helped though.

A more interesting question for me is on what basis the karma has been
reduced. The main problem with the previous karma was that people
contributing to the support tracker were getting seriously more karma
than anyone else, people contributing to specifications were getting
quite a lot (which is probably justified) and bug contributions were
pretty undervalued. From a quick eyeballing of a few significant
contributors, that doesn't seem to have changed, people's numbers have
got lower but their relationship with each other is still pretty
similar. Is this documented somewhere?
