Disable ajax per user?

It is possible to tell Firefox to not use Javascript.

The control is in the edit -> preferences menu, under the "content" tab.
 I don't know how to get to this dialog without using a GUI.

Or maybe you just want to disable certain kinds of Javascript, but not
all Javascript?
