Package software under "public domain" for ppa

Dear Launchpad users!

I would like to know if there are any problems when I package software
that is released under public domain. Could there be any problems, and
what would I write into the copyright file?

In this special case I would like to package cultivation
(http://cultivation.sourceforge.net/ and
http://sourceforge.net/projects/cultivation/).
