I'd like a web page with feed, ideally linked amongst other things
from the "edge" identifiers at the top and bottom of all pages.  It
would be good to have a clear delineation of what is in edge compared
to production.

For Bazaar we have a NEWS file and a policy that developer's merging
user-visible changes should add to it.  So I would think just doing
that and making it visible on the web would be a good start for

I don't think mail is needed.  If people are waiting for a particular
thing to be done so they can either test it or be unblocked, they can
just subscribe to the bug.
