Thank you for your report.

Can I also suggest you report a bug is via launchpad, by either

https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/sddm/+filebug

or entering `ubuntu-bug sddm` on your actual hardware.

I would also suggest including a `lshw -C video` (or just a complete
`lshw` as attachment).   Had you already asked on launchpad, I would
have asked if your 18.10 was installed, a daily image (if so from how
long ago/when?) or other? as a mailing-list is not the most
appropriate place. I am currently writing the latest daily image to
re-test on my thinkpad t43.
