@"for Lubuntu" vs. "for Ubuntu"-I think stephen is trying to emphasize that we're the same 'underneath'. But I agree, I think maybe it might be easier for new users to get their heads around.
Agree on "Applications"
Agree on "Advanced mode"-perhaps "show all packages" might be (even) better?
