*buntu bugs

There is a bug in *buntus, at least in 12.10, and 13.04 (and I think
in 12.04 too), that apport erroneously reports non-existent crashes
(even in Lubuntu).

The solution is:

sudo apt-get remove apport*


Apport also slows down the execution of programs, even in my
dual-core, Intel Core 2 Duo 2.5 Ghz, 4 GB RAM machine.

So, removing all apport packages is a standard procedure for me, with *buntus.
