bootable usb-stick forPB G4 17" ?

I vaguely someone here (Nio Wiklund???) described 2 years ago or so, how
to make and how to boot a PB from a usb stick into live-lubuntu. Or is
my memory failing? If i remember right, please could you point me to a
link where i can learn your solution?

I'd like to install lubuntu 14.04 on a PB G4 17" but i see the iso
largely exceeds the cd-rom maximum ...
