Installing the lxqt metapackage

I'm using Lubuntu 14.04 and I added the daily ppa (
https://launchpad.net/~lubuntu-dev/+archive/lubuntu-daily).

>From there, I installed "lxqt-metapackage" and ran apt-get update and
apt-get dist-upgrade a couple of times.

On reboot (not log out and log in), I can't log in to the lxqt desktop. I
just get back the login screen.

I can login into the usual Lubuntu session.

Question: is it okay to ask for help here or is there a better place?
