Hi Israel!

Thanks for intervening. I didn't do anything special, it's some time i 
did not touch the powerbook ... ;)

It's always my pb g4 which i treat with some specials, like jwm instead 
of openbox and a downgraded kernel (for the sound bug). But before it 
worked!

I did some cleaning (apt-get autoclean & autoremove). And actually i had 
in mind to deal with the keyboard settings which do not work like they 
should.

What you suggested i'd already done, unfortunately. May for the moment, 
i' ll try to work with aptitude (as a workaround). I was under the 
impression it might be something related to gtk2 or gtk3 
incompabilities. I remember i'd a problem with synaptic not running for 
that kinds of problems in crunchbang waldorf a couple of years ago (but 
with an intel based device not ppc ;-) ).
