Hi Aere,
I made a PPA for the package. It is only usable in Live OS for
installing a tarball.
It is very useful for low memory machines (ones that cannot use
Ubiquity). It is also very useful for cloning machines. For example if
you have 50 machines that need to have the same OS, and configuration
you can boot your custom Live ISO with OBI and it will wipe the machine
clean and install your tarball of another machine directly.

To make a tarball you can also use OBI... it comes with 2 versions of
mktbl (make tarball)... the automatic version that does everything
default, or the GUI program which lets you input what device (/dev/sda1)
what filename, what compression, and where it will save.

OBI (one-button-installer) is in the ToriOS PPA.

There are other packages in the PPA, but none that will effect you if
you don't install them.
But, of course you need to be building an Ubuntu based live ISO for this
to be relevant.

By default it looks for a Tarball in /tarballs or $HOME/tarballs or as a
last resort $PWD/tarballs (if you run it from the terminal rather than
using the menu item.

you can run it from the terminal by running
one-button-installer (this is a symlink to the actual executable located
in /usr/share/OBI along with the rest of the files)

If you want to test out sdesk (the GTK2 tray icon for anything you
want.. like scripts) it is in that same PPA. It has a man page for a
brief intro on how to use it. feel free to ask if you need help... but
do so outside the list, so we don't clutter it :)
man sdesk
