[lubuntu-users] lubuntu16.04 asus eeepc 1000 install problem

hi all,

my first post so pls be gentle?

lubuntu-desktop installs ok, but after boot,
shows black screen with fsck output.

flipping to virtual screens, each show a login prompt, but then flips back
to fsck screen.

i tried yakkity yak, but found no system tools control.

suggestions? should i pursue lubuntu boot errors or just use yakkity yak?
