[Maas-devel] Avahi boot image boots node, but does not commission

Using the latest USB image from here:

https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ServerTeam/MAAS/AvahiBoot

The node boots to an Ubuntu prompt, but the MaaS server still shows the 
node as 'Commissioning', and the node stays at the login prompt.

any hints?
