Hi,
I'd like to clarify the current state of Ubuntu packages for Mir and
associated projects.
For a fully stable setup, you should continue to use the
system-compositor-testing PPA using the instructions on
http://unity.ubuntu.com/mir/installing_prebuilt_on_pc.html. This PPA is not
up to date with the latest software and is manually updated from time to
time.
To run the latest software just use the standard Ubuntu archive, though you
will need to manually build unity-system-compositor as that is not yet
uploaded. To do this:
$ bzr branch lp:unity-system-compositor
$ cd unity-system-compositor
$ debuild
$ sudo dpkg -i ../unity-system-compositor_*.deb
Once unity-system-compositor lands in the archive, you will no longer need
to use the PPA.
