  * Try apt-proxy from /etc/hosts before default gateway
  * Extract iterating over possible sources into a function
  * Check for explicitly configured proxies before trying the gateway
    (Closes: #1108265)
  * Search gateway before DNS for containers
  * debian/tests: add test for lxc
  * Fix warnings and errors found by shellcheck
  * copyright: drop year
  * Extract timeout handling into a single function
  * Make timeout for network probes default to 1s.
