  * Replace debian/compat with a dependency on debhelper-compat (= 13)
  * Set CFLAGS=--std=gnu17 to retain support for function declarations
    without parameters (Closes: #1096484)
  * Add libcrypt-dev to Build-Depends (Closes: #1106939)
