  * Merge from Debian unstable. Remaining changes:
    - Kubuntu Vcs and maintainer fields.
    - Keep our symbols file.
    - Do not wildcard shared library soversion in install file, as this
      risks soname bumps not being detected.
    - Disable build time tests.
