how to use rosetta?

Hello,


I am new to Rosetta and I do have some questions: I have suggested the
afbackup package for Rosetta. It is now available for translation but
Rosetta does not contain the german and italian translations that are
already provided upstream. I have uploaded the de.po and it.po files but
nothing happened. :-( The only available languages in Rosetta are
french, german and italian. Howto translate afbackup into any other
language? Do I need an administrator to add other languages?

Furthermore I have checked gqview: it does not have a german translation
(0%), upstream does. I cannot find any version information in Rosetta
about gqview but that would be interesting because the number of  msgids
in Rosetta does not match the upstream number.

How can I find out if somebody is cooperating with upstream to integrate
any translations from Rosetta?
