No, that's not used at all by Launchpad.

I know, I was pointing that even if it's that kind of errors you
described, Launchpad should show you the explanation, since you didn't
see it, it's a bug.

I filed it as https://bugs.launchpad.net/rosetta/+bug/112308 so we don't
forget it and try to review the code just in case we see anything
obvious that could cause this.
