First snappy package built - but the service is not starting.

I am currently trying to create my first package on the new raspberry pi 2.

How can I debug the services in a new package?

I have created a package that appears to deploy correctly but I see no sign of the service that I want started has actually been called.

When I install it from a local snap package that I have created I get:-

WARNING:root:Signature check failed, but installing anyway as requested

How can I get rid of this error as well?
