off-topic vs. pointless

sounder is definitely the place for off-topic discussion. However, there's
no place for irresolveable discussion and/or binary arguments. A discussion
like this is best taken elsewhere entirely, just as you'd politely decline
to discuss irresolveable political differences at a dinner party.
