modprobe lp by default?

Folks who are using parallel printers need the 'lp' module loaded, but as
far as I know, there's no mechanism for this to happen by default.  I'm not
even sure that it's possible to automate, without trying to detect whether
there's something that smells like a parallel printer attached to the
parallel port.

Is it reasonable to load 'lp' by default in hwdetect, the way that some
ide-* modules seem to be?
