For various annoying legal reasons, multimedia and Linux are a hairy
combination. If you want a more pleasant experience, try adding 'universe'
to your /etc/apt/sources.list lines (you can do this in Synaptic too), and
install 'totem-xine'. You should be able to watch Real stuff too.
