Can you please open Computer (Menu bar) -> System Configuration ->
Device Manager, plug in a device and look whether the devices appear
(allow some seconds)?
If they appear, the device should have one or more child nodes called
'Volume'. Please select it/them and switch to the "Advanced" register
card. Can you please look whether "block.device" is something sensible
(i. e. the device name you would use for a manual pmount invocation)
and "block.is_volume" is actually 1?

Does it support usb-storage, i.e. can it be mounted like an USB hard
disk? If you don't know, just look in the device manager whether it
has some 'Volume's.
