The Default install of Fedora Core 4 includes a limited number of KDE
packages (just like Ubuntu). It does not include KDE itself (just like
Ubuntu).
In order to install KDE in Fedora, one must select it as an option
during setup. And up until recently, RedHat & Fedora's KDE was inferior
enough that it insped the kde-redhat project
(http://kde-redhat.sourceforge.net/).
Also, installing Fedora Core only requires the first CD, the additional
stuff can be downloaded from the net, as is the case with Ubuntu. To
the best of my recollection, the difference is you don't get as "up and
running" with that as you do with Ubuntu.
