Yeah, I sort of get the feeling from that article that there is some
sort of subtle hardware failure going on there. Perhaps an IRQ conflict
between a PCI device and his legacy non-pnp ISA device...
newer mainboards hate that :)
if stuff starts to magically segfault, I don't think there is much you
can prepare for in a distro :(
