Well, sure.
My point was that until today, at least on my machine, file-roller
never managed to pick-up any back-end I installed, be it unrar-nonfree
or unrar.

Sure.
Anyway, I rarely get to deal with RAR files in practise, no it never
bothered me that much.
I wonder why this format is still around. With broadband and cheap large
disks, inventing a new compression format just to compress maybe little
bit more, is hardly worth the trouble IMHO.
Generally speaking, I can't see the point of so many file formats in
general, be it for audio, video, pictures, file archives, what have
you.... I ma sure 90% of them are redundant :-/
It just turns life to hell for no reason :o((((((((((((((((
Oh, I feel I am starting to digress again, must fight this bad habit...
