You should stop believing every word you read on Wikipedia. The above
"fact" is 50% fabrication. The original quote by Eben Moglen (as linked
by the wikipedia article) goes like this,
"As we were talking, I briefly thought about how we must have looked to
people passing by. Here we are, these two little bearded anarchists,
plotting and planning the next steps. And, of course, Richard is
plucking the knots from his hair and dropping them in the soup and
behaving in his usual way. Anybody listening in on our conversation
would have thought we were crazy, but I knew: I knew the revolution's
right here at this table. This is what's making it happen. And this man
is the person making it happen."
Can you discern the difference? Right, nowhere does Moglen say that RMS
is still eating the soup. It might be not the most well-behaved thing to
do, but I sometimes certainly also toss stuff into my soup when I am
done. Not the knots of my hair, but that's because mine is short. The
second thing tho keep in mind is that EM relates a coming-together
between friends, this is not an IBM shareholders meeting that has
invited RMS or anything. (I'm not sure he'd care, but still)
